Last Thursday was Greta's actual birthday which means that we got to celebrate twice! One on the actual day and one on Saturday with friends and family. Thursday's celebrations began with waking her up at 6:45 so her daddy could wish his girl a happy birthday. Can't you tell she was thrilled?
Poor thing, she's already not a morning person and I started feeling bad seeing her face like this. Ha ha.
I made her a cookie cake with an owl on it since she loves owls and "owlalets" (owlets) from a book she reads every night.
Being the cool mom I am, I sacrificed the cake to a mountain of blue and red sprinkles. As you can see, Bennett and Greta LOVED decorating it and doing a little quality control apparently as you can see from B's finger in her mouth. :)
Singing Happy Birthday. Greta did good blowing out her candles!
Reading her cards from out of state family. This one is from her Kiki in Alaska and she LOVED her Elmo card! Do you like her shirt? I made it! Lindsay gave me the idea with ironing on some fabric and stitching around the 2.
She quickly took the money out of it and started ironing it out on the couch. She acted like a teenager with all the other cards to follow, opening it up, and snatching out the money. Funny girl.
Giving her Aunt Danielle a big hug to thank her for the giant princess coloring book she received.

nat, are you wearing a maternity shirt?
I wore it when I was pregnant with both kids, but it's not a maternity shirt. And no, I'm not pregnant.
oh goodness! that sweet little thing in the morning. what a face. i wish Mecaden wasn't a morning person. she'd be happy as a lark that early... if i let her out of her cage.. er... bedroom :)
She looks so sleepy, warm, preciously grumpy in the morning. You captured the moment. She looks like she had fun with those sprinkles!!! Love, Mom
