Chick-Fil-A All Nighter!!!

Friday night was an anniversary celebration at the Chick-Fil-A 5 minutes down the street from where Adam and I live. On this night, people can start lining up 24 hours in advance to be the first 100 people in line when the restaurant opens Saturday at 6:00 am. When role is called in the morning and you are still present, the prize you recieve is free Chick-Fil-A for a year!! Or basically 52 free value meals. We were both really excited to hear about this, but a little disheartened because we also had a seminar "Answers in Genesis" that we wanted to attend also that night at Providence. I had all the camping gear ready to go in case we decided to go to Chick-Fil-A that I had packed Friday on my lunch break. We were a little bit nervous to take our time in getting there because obviously the sooner you get there the better chances you have in making the first 100. However, to make a long story short, because we were looking forward to this seminar, we decided to attend and head to Chick-Fil-A afterwards and see if we could "squeeze in line at the very last second" (or so we thought). After the seminar, we raced across the street and got signed up on the list about 9:10 pm. Guess what number we were?? 89? 93?? Nope. 6 and 8. It was great! Here our some pics of our unforgettable (and rewarding!) adventure. Hard core Chick-Fil-A-ersWe went to bed about 1 in the morning. I had earplugs and slept like a baby. Adam on the other hand, didn't get to much rest as he could hear everyone else who were staying up all night. We staked our tent right on the grassy knoll in front of the patio. Judy is our friend in the pink. She is a receptionist volunteer at church and I have just known her for a few weeks. She has been to two previous Chick-Fil-A all nighters and has won also both times. This was her third time and she was #1! She was there since Friday morning at 7:15 am. It was hilarious...she was totally on a first name basis with the owner and his family since she had all day to spend with them. Alex and Emily are our friends on the right. We played Phase 10 for hours and had a good time getting to know them through the late night.
Heyyyyy...wait a sec. How do D&D fit in the picture?? Well, if you must know, these two sleepy heads awoke from there cozy bed in their air conditioned house after a good nights rest at about oh I don't know...5:00 am!! After we had been there 8 hours before them! Adam called them and said the line still wasn't finished with a complete 100, so they drove over and were #93 and #96. Crazy huh?
