Raleigh or Bust BBQ

Yesterday, my great parents hosted a BBQ for family/friends to come over, eat some brisket and halibut and bid us farewell. We had such a great time visiting with everyone. The weather was pretty chilly so most people stayed indoors. I, myself had worked diligently starting a fire made of wet wood and after about an hour, my Uncle Gary was the one who finally got it started. Adam came out and took some pictures of me and my cousins kids making s'mores who were totally cute and had chocolate all over their face. (Kids- not me) There's also a picture of an extremely large building in our yard which some of you may be unfamiliar with. That's the newest addition- the garage. Every Alaskan man needs a garage twice as big as his house! :) My favorite part is the upstairs where we plan to be staying come Christmastime. There is a one bedroom apartment complete with a bathroom, beautiful kitchen and a living room with a fireplace!

We leave today to head back towards Raleigh. We take off from Anchorage at 4:00 p.m. and will arrive in Raleigh at 6:30 a.m. We are sad to be leaving, but excited to go! See you soon!
