A family friend of ours, Kent, went halibut fishing last weekend in Seward and he caught a halibut that weighed 270 pounds! I thought you guys might like to see what a monster this was! Keep in mind when looking at the height of this fish, Kent is 6'3. Lucky for him, his girlfriend just happened to be in town during this studly move of his.. ;)

This thing is huge! It looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. Did it get media attention or is it possibly a frequent occurrence to pull out 270 lb. fish from those waters?
