Rouleau Getting Married

Our good friend, Jon, from Liberty got married this weekend in the mountains of NC. Adam and I decided to pack up the kids and head on out for a chance to support our friend in marriage, see our buddies from college and have a weekend getaway.
Adam and Greta looking out at the wedding party ready to come into the reception hall.

"How was the wedding daddy? I wouldn't know. Mom was chasing me out in the rain."

Greta actually did pretty good for the first 15-20 minutes of the wedding, but as soon as she'd had enough, she hot footed it out of there and she and I just played outside for the remainder.

The bride and groom! Jon and Jenna!

We sat with John and Mel at the reception

And David and Emily. Emily is due in May with Baby Graham. Here she is insisting that she can in fact twist off the cap of her orange crush.

And David singing an 80's song into his.

A nice lady gave Greta a daisy and she carried that thing around forever. For dinner she had a couple bites of her granny smith apple and many many potato chips.

She played on the stairs for a while with the big boys.

It was so cute. She'd sit there, sniff her flower, wave it around and sniff it again.

True to Jon's style, he was decked out in a thrift store suit, faux hawk with a rattail and these shoes below. I personally thought it was great! I love it when people put their own spin on things at their weddings.Except for Todd on the far right, all of these guys were roommates Adam's senior year at LU. It was so fun seeing all of them and their wives!

It was so great seeing Todd, but we missed his wife Lori who was home with their three kids. They are starting a church plant in Charleston, SC, riverchurch.com . These guys are great! If you are ever in the area, you should definitely check it out.

The pretty cake which they shoved in each other's faces.

Electric slide. The only dance I did all night! I was too busy keeping tabs on the kids! Jason, the guy on the right in the white was a good friend of ours also. He and Jon Rouleau bought our end tables when we got married and Adam told him we think of them all the time when we use our tables. Jason said I gave him To Kill a Mockingbird which is now his favorite book and he thinks of us all the time whenever he picks it up. I don't remember giving him a book, but it's nice to be remembered.

Will was in good hands though with John.

Me and my gal with her daisy still going strong.

Ready to go bye-bye with her bag.

Loading up in the car for the 4 hour ride home. Looking good in her cowgirl boots!

Brook has the same boots! They are size 5, which is a size too big for her but I still can't get them on...something about the angle of shoving her foot in there. I'll have to try them again. Greta looks great in them!

Thankfully, I didn't consult with Joey on his style before our wedding!! Ha ha!! I'm a big believer in it being the bride's day, but I guess she fully knows what she is getting into marrying Jon!! :) Hilarious!!

those boots are killer! love her pigtails, perfect little girl curls.

by the way i want you to know i looked at these last night before bed, and do you want to know what i dreamed about? Todd and I going to a wedding and him insisting on wearing a Good Will terribly ugly burnt-orange colored suit with faded Vans from GW too. I told him absolutely not and he kept begging me.

disclaimer: i think your friends suit was tasteful- but my husbands thrift store taste was not so good in my dreams :)
