Asheville

The night before the wedding, we were in Asheville and spent the afternoon swimming at the hotel pool.

Greta was ecstatic and was giggling the entire time while she went swimming with her daddy.


She has always been the hardest person to swim with because of what a wiggle worm she is. All of our pool gear is in Raleigh so that is the next thing to get next time we go back to the house there. I've got to get that girl some floaties!

Will took the water like a champ. No smiles, but no frowns either. We mainly hung out in the hot tub. :)

I got the kids some new bathing suits at Baby Gap the other day thanks to my 30% off coupon from Katie C. Thanks so much! That was the best coupon ever!

Later that night after dinner, we went to this candy store called Kilwins. Our friends Josh and Nicole had written about it on their blog so we had to give it a try. It was awesome! As soon as we walked in this employee sat down at the piano and played little diddy's the entire time we were there.

They had the best fudge that we could sample there, but we both walked away with ice cream. I got fudge brownie ice cream mixed with toasted coconut. Delish.

Greta was pretty excited about an Elmo balloon there that we found also.

The next morning we went to another recommendation by Josh and Nicole to a restaurant called Tupelo Honey Cafe. This was the BEST place we went to the whole weekend. They were so accommodating with both kids and had great food. I had eggs, crabcakes and asparagus for breakfast and split a sweet potato pancake with Adam. On top of that, they serve biscuits with raspberry preserves. BEST food ever.

Greta did so well at the restaurant which is worthy of noting since that doesn't happen often. She had us drawing dodgies (doggies) and meow's (cat's) the entire time we were there to keep her occupied.

Then, she and Will did this the whole two hours to the wedding. Couldn't have asked for better.
