Adam and I celebrated Valentine's Day a weekend earlier by getting away to the Hilton in dowtown Charlotte.
We went out to eat at McCormick and Schmick's and brought Buttercup along.
My handsome Valentine
My cutie Valentine
I know it looks like I'm showing you my food, but secretly I'm showing off my new sweater. Too bad time machines won't be invented till 2012, otherwise I'd go back and unbutton the top button.
The best part about the Hilton being downtown was that it was close to everything! We walked to and from dinner that night.

Affirming their manliness on the purple chaise
We were able to stay at the Hilton for free using some of Dad R.'s hotel points (thanks!). It was such a blessing and to top it off, we had access to the "executive lounge" because of his status. Free coffee and munchies to our hearts delight.
The next morning we walked around downtown, but EVERYTHING was closed! What a ghost town. It was weird. Charlotte is a busy city, but downtown is filled with banks and businesses that are all closed on the weekend. So after a leisurely morning at Starbucks we headed back to pick up Greta. Thanks to Aunt Pam and Uncle Frank for watching her. True to their nature her weekend was packed full with another tea party, watching Elmo, making chocolate chip pancakes and a giant heart shaped cookie for us! Thanks again!

Later that night Adam bought us tickets to go watch this guy
Jon Reep was a winner of Last Comic Standing a couple years ago. He was hilarious then and hilarious this time. We had so much fun!

I quite enjoy the top looking buttoned, don't be too hard on it.
I've always wanted to see a comedian, so glad you've had a great experience! Maybe he'll come to the West Coast!!
What a special time together! I'll bet Jon Reep was so good. We loved him on Last Comic Standing... Kyle liked to remind me that he went to NCSU!
