Mom R. gets a "Starbucks" daily. We tease her because instead of getting coffee at Starbucks, she gets a "Starbucks". Here Greta is getting spoiled with the foam from her cappuccino. That kind of spoiling happens a lot around here. She's sitting on the table too, which also happens a lot.
Making dumplings with her Grammy. As far as household duties are concerned, it's kind of nice splitting the load. Dinner and clean-up is easily shared and exchanged between Mom R. and I so it's very nice to have that sort of help especially with 2 little ones. I'm learning a lot about developing better housekeeping habits while living here.
Family time with Dominos. We always hung out with Dan and Danielle in Raleigh a lot and really that hasn't changed much! They've been in almost every weekend since Christmas so we get to see a lot of them still.
Which Bennett and Greta are very happy about.
One of the best benefits of being here are date nights! We went to a Christmas concert called "Behold the Lamb of God" by Andrew Peterson. Let me tell you, if they are ever in your area, you need to go. When explaining his reason for beginning this tour 12 years ago, Andrew explained how he had the notion of how nice it would be to attend a Christmas concert where Santa wasn't invited. Not that he had anything against "Jingle Bells" or "Up on the Housetop", he really just thought of how refreshing it would be to have a whole concert revolving around the real meaning of Christmas, Christ's birth. So from the beginning of the Old Testament up to Christ's birth in the New Testament, he's written songs that focus all on that. My all time favorite Christmas song that he wrote is called "Labor of Love" sung by Jill Phillips. Ironically, my mom called me asking me if I had ever heard of this song she had heard sung in church that Sunday. While she was thinking of the name, I asked her, "Is it called 'Labor of Love'" She was amazed that I had guessed it, but I wasn't surprised that it was her favorite too because it's that good. It should be everybody's favorite.
Anyway, we love our date nights.

So glad all is going well!!
Hey Nat! Glad you are enjoying Charlotte. Just curious...was the Behold the Lamb at Concord Christian Church? I ask because one of my friends from college was in that performance...violin. Her blog is under my links as The Roach Family.

LOVE the purple coat? Is that yours or do you borrow Leighana's (sp?)? I remember her fantastic jewelry collection. Or course we went through it when we stayed in her room. Don't tell her!
That's my fave Andrew Peterson song, too. :) Hearing it after having given birth definitely made it "click" more for me.
True dat Nat. I love that song. The coat looks stunning on you. Love, Mom
