Will's New Dresser

Last month we bought and refinished a $50.00 dresser from Craigslist. I'm always so anxious to get to work on these projects that I constantly forget to take before pictures before we start messing with it.
The three drawers in this pic show the color that the pine wood was stained. Not really what we were going for, so we got to work sanding right away.

Darn, you caught me in my Saturday morning get-up. :)

The before picture of the body of the dresser

And the finished product!

I had seen this color scheme on some modern baby furniture at Walmart and BRU and loved it so we gave it a whirl and liked the end result. The hardware is the original hardware that came with it. If I had my choice, we would've updated that too, but it would cost more than what we paid for the dresser! Crazy! Oh, and by the way, the dresser came with a mirror that obviously we didn't need because of the window, so I re-sold that back on Craigslist for $20.00! Now, the dresser only cost $30.00! Yippee!

I'm with Bridg...what's the secret to getting Adam to be your Saturday slave? I'm trying to get Joey to change a lightbulb around here! :)

Seriously beautiful dresser. Totally love it. Perfect for your woodsy Alaskan theme.

It's okay.......Just kidding..I think it looks really well. Angie and I were lucky enough to move into an already rennovated place, but any site you can throw our way would be helpful.

A) I need a coffee table idea.

B) Endstands

Bern, try readymade.com. Cool/funky stuff that you can make yourself.

Bridge, I didn't go down to the baseboard because the base of the trees will be covered by furniture anyway. Plus, the wallwords tree wasn't all the way down so I figured I could get away with it too. Plus plus the bed was not pulled too far away from the wall and I didn't want to weasel my big pregnant belly in between it and the wall.

Okay, I love the trees. And I love your acorn curtains. And your dresser. One day when you're bored with nothing to do like the rest of us moms, please come over and help me be creative! :)

You can buy hardware packs at Target for as little as $9.99. With the great deal you got on the dresser, they may still cost more, but that's the cheapest hardware I ahve found!
