Then, we painted the table yellow
Then we painted the chairs. One blue, one green.
Busted out the modge podge and oreo's
And got to work! I had seen a table similar to this one with one 12x12 scrapbook paper in the middle of the table. A lady was selling it at a market in AK and said she had modge podged it. This is my re-creation of what I saw with a patchwork of papers.
I went to the scrapbook store and tried to find the funkiest, multi-colored papers I could find. I brought Adam along to help find some more "gender-neutral" colors.
Gender-neutral? Okay, so no. But, cute? Yes.
Added a little detail
And Gret loves it! She acts like such a big girl eating her snack at the table. She prefers Will's chair over hers most of the time. She even used it for a craft table to make her daddy a belated Father's Day card
She mostly enjoyed just sucking on the paintbrush though and didn't like it when I told her to stop.
Her work of art!
And since we're on the topic of crafts, this is a bag I made at family vacation. Aunt Sharon brought all the craft supplies for all the girl cousins to make their own bag. Everyone had such cute ideas for each of their bags. I'm bummed I didn't get a picture of us making it nor anyone else's finished products! We used canvas bags, fabric scraps, ribbons, iron-on adhesive and paint pens for the finishing touch. This is Will's little diaper bag we'll bring to the church nursery on Sundays.

I LOVE the table! You always find the best used stuff...I have been looking for a table and chairs for Alanna for a while but have had no such luck. Greta does look like such a big girl at her table...she definitely knows she's cool. :)

Awesome table! I am super impressed with your craft skills!! :)
Love the table and chairs, Nat. Your creative juices are really flowing. Greta looks so grown up sitting at the table.
I concur! Love both the table and the bag!
LOVE THAT TABLE!!!!
Very crafty, cousin! I love it! Greta is just warming up Will's chair. You know, break it in so that it fits just right when he uses it. It's a big sister thing. Anyway, I am attempting, for a 3rd and final time, to do this blog thing. Check it out if you get a chance. edandjessicacook.blogspot.com

Wow Natalie, that table is the most adorable thing I've ever seen! Way to go!
I don't know what I'm more impressed with...the table creation or the fact that you somehow swooned Adam into a scrapbooking store. What a major accomplishment.
Way to go Adam, thanks for making us all look bad.
Greata- Jack says Hello!
I will be on the lookout for a table now. What a cute idea!
