Listen up moms! I was on Emily B's blog Tuesday night and I checked out a great website she recommended, http://www.babycheapskate.com/ . I noticed a confirmed rumor on this website that Babies R Us is now accepting back all the BPA bottles for store credit. So, I called the BRU off of Capital and they confirmed it too. Yesterday, I went and returned the bottles (maybe 7 of them?) and got $37.40 back on a BRU gift card!!! I've been pretty out of the loop as far as the BPA is concerned, but with a few clicks of the mouse I was able to check out the BPA brands that were listed and I returned the one's below. Check out the website to see if you may have some too.
They took back the nipples too!

Whoa! I'm calling! I won't pretend that I'm ultra-concerned about BPA. We just have all these bottles that Josiah has NEVER taken, so I'm excited about getting some moola. I mean, I'm concerned about my child's health and safety...
Okay- so, they are taking your used bottles and given you $? I'm so sad about my Dr. Brown's bottles because I just love them.
What bottles are you going to use this go around?
love,
Angie
Great, thanks for the info. I heard something through the grapevine, but I hadn't done anything about it. Samuel hardly ever used his bottles so I'm sure glad to get some money back!
Hey Nat- so if they give storecredit back, what kind of bottles should we get for baby #2? Are they coming out with Avent BPA-free??
Don't quote me on this Emily, but I'm pretty sure the bottle companies with the BPA are working on putting out their new versions soon. I don't think they'll be discontinued indefinitely.
Hey Natalie,
It's Kristin Stephens from Providence. Angie Tucker and I were emailing about BPA stuff today. Just wanted you to know that there are BPA free bottles and sippy cups available made by Born Free. Here's a link to their website, if you want to check it out: http://www.newbornfree.com.
You can buy their products directly from the website, or find them at Whole Foods stores or Babies R Us. Noelle did well with the bottles and now loves her sippy cup! Congratulations on your baby Boy! :o)
