While in Lynchburg, we made sure to catch up with the Barnard's who all of us Kale kids baby-sat for in college. It's been 3 1/2 years since we've seen them and the boys have grown so much!
We got to see their beautiful home they built 2 1/2 years ago on 19 acres of property! It is gorgeous!
I've been describing it to people as an Alaskan lodge/Tuscan villa. :) Look at the exposed beams and floors made from reclaimed wood.
Their eat-in kitchen has a castle-like circle room and had a patio out back.
Greta did not want to leave because we had such a great time visiting with our friends.
The two homes above are neighbors of theirs that used to be neighbors in their old neighborhood. They all went in and divided up property for each of them to build on. So nice to have great neighbors and close friends all in one cul-de-sac!

Great pics. The boys sure have grown, but Heather looks the same! Their house is gorgeous! Whose house is the last pic?
I know, Heather looks great. I'm not sure who's house exactly that is, but I'm pretty sure the stone one is Sydney's parents.
So great to see the Barnards. Thanks for posting Nat. The boys look like little men now! I love the neighbors houses too. Especially the shake shingles. Looks like an Oregon coast house to me.
What gorgeous property & homes! I want to buy some land and have all of my good friends build houses on it and all live happily ever after! (you have to read that with a whiney sound to it to get my drift!) =)
Their house is bbeeeyyoootiful. Did the Barnard's design it themselves? Heather does look good and the boys sure have grown. I'll bet they're still full of energy too. Love, Mom
Funny! I babysat for the Barnards too! WOW! The boys have grown! I think the last time I saw them was about 5 years ago when I was in Lynchburg. I stay in contact with her sister-in-law, Brooke, b/c I babysat them too. Do u have any of Heather's contact info that u could pass on? That would be great!
