Fun Weekend

This past weekend was so fun beginning with Dan's cd release party on Friday night. This is his very first cd he's done all on his own and he did a great job. 600 people showed up to the event and the building ran out of chairs for everyone to have a seat. If you want a cd (which you will) go to danielrenstrom.com to order one and hear snippets of what you'll get. Every time I listen to it I think I have picked my favorite song until the next one comes on and then I can't decide anymore.3 of Adam's cousins and Leigh Anna all go to Liberty. They all showed up in a caravan (think groups, not the Windstar) with about 7 other LU friends.I sat next to John throughout the night who was videotaping. I told Adam I was so nervous because I wanted to sing along to the songs, but I didn't want to be the only voice heard on the videotape! The whole Ward clan. Even Mama and Papa Ward and Aunt Sandra made it up from Alabama!Something about our grandparents makes me think there's a little rock star in them after all.....On Saturday, my sweet sugarlicious celebrated his 26th birthday. Happy Birthday Ad! I love you.All the family and friends stayed the night in a hotel the night before so we drove over and ate breakfast with them. Who doesn't want a nice cookie cake to wash down your omelet? Mom R. makes the best cookie cakes ever so we didn't have a problem in making some room for it.

Throughout the weekend, we had Jaime Johnson staying with us as she was in town for a wedding we all went to Saturday night. It snowed on Saturday which was fun.

Patience and Jordan were there too so that was even more fun! As you can see from the above expressions, Greta was surprised to see them there! We all sat at the same table at the reception hall, next to the fire, looking out to the snow coating the country club golf course. It was beautiful! I didn't get a picture of it though.
Pretty Christen was the beautiful bride. Jaime, Christen, Adam and I were all on the same Youthquest team at LU. Have you ever read my story under the NADAM header up top? This is the girl that Adam "proposed" to when he accidentally said my name instead. Luckily, a nice guy named Richard came along a few years later and got her name right when he proposed.
Then, on Sunday we went over to D&D's house for a little football action. Something like the Patriots playing the Chargers.... anyway, since Jaime is from San Diego, she insisted that Greta must support them by making her a special shirt to wear for the game.

I just like this picture because it's so great for these little girls to live near each other for moments like these.
Jaim, nothing's changed!

Play time with Uncle DanI put her in the Bee Bop Band drum, but she didn't feel like bee bopping around.

That, or she was sad that the Chargers lost.

I did make Dan the shirt, but I didn't take a picture! I heard he liked it though...

One day at the grocery store, the lady cashing Adam out called him "shugs". I took it and ran with it. :)

Hey, we Southerners just know how to make folks feel loved and special. You all from AK need to try out the "Sugar" thing some. It helps melt those cold hearts, and most people just really respond well to it!
