Motorcycle Man

Last week we were on vacation. Before we left on Friday, Thursday had some unexpected news for us. Thursday Morning: Adam was contacted about what we were hoping was a possible job opportunity to find that he didn't get the job. Thursday Afternoon: We found out from our apartment leasing office that instead of moving out after our vacation, they already have a couple moving in and we need to be out in 24 hours. Thursday Evening: Bernie got T-boned by a lady riding his motorcycle in AK.

There was no better time for a vacation.

However, I am happy to report that concerning all of that, God is still faithful and Bernie is doing great.

Here's a cool story.

Bern was riding his motorcycle down the street when a lady, crossing the street in her car, unknowingly pulled out right in front of Bernie. Bernie hit her front bumper, flipped over the hood and flew about 20 feet. He was lying on the ground, gasping for breath from the impact and his bruised lungs when 2 motorcyclists pulled up and told him to stay still until the paramedics came. Another lady who stopped just happened to be a motorcycle safety instructor in the area. She was able to move the motorcycle out of the way and with some help load it up on her trailer she was towing behind her truck. While she was doing this, her 4-year old autistic son was watching this from the back seat of her truck. Later, as she spoke to my parents she told them that she is not a religious person at all and hasn't been to church in years. Normally, her son would have been stressed out at the situation with the emergency vehicles there with the lights and sounds, but instead she hopped in the truck when she was finished and her son calmly said, "Mommy, Jesus kissed the motorcycle man."

Wow, your story gave me the chills! That is amazing. I'm glad Bernie is ok. We'll be praying for a job for Adam.
