Today is the first day of winter and I am so jealous of my fellow AK's with all the snow that they have! Check out this snowman that a man and some neighborhood friends made in Anchorage! It's over 16 feet tall, complete with a corncob pipe and beer bottles for eyes and buttons. They say the snowman is a solid block of ice now and he had to use a power drill to put the arms in! This guy is proof that you're never to old to play in the snow.Once, when I was like a junior or senior in college, I came home to a ton of snow in our driveway. After my dad plows, there's always this gigantic mountain of snow off to the side. Bernie and I geared up in our snowpants and jackets and headed out to make our awesome tunnels that we always made when we were younger. As we each are on seperate sides burrowing our holes to connect into a tunnel, my neighbor next door comes out and curiously asks, "Is everything okay?" Maybe she thought we lost something or just thought that something had to be wrong with us since we are 20-something years old and still playing in the snow. I just love it.
