Fan Boat Trip

Yesterday afternoon we had the opportunity to go on the ride of a lifetime. One of Bernie's friends from work owns his own fan boat and he set it up for us to spend the afternoon on it. We put in underneath a bridge in the Palmer area and rode upstream, about 45 minutes, to the Kinik Glacier. The ride was so much fun, not to mention the incredible view on the way there and back. Sorry mom, no water muscles but I did manage to find some warm clothes so at least I wasn't too cold. The ride up wasn't too bad in terms of being cold, until Tony, the driver, hit some rapids and a wave came crashing over the front of the boat totally drenching Phil, Bernie and I. Nevertheless, it was a blast and I would do it again in a heart beat!

The pictures are spectacular. What a great opportunity to see sights a North Carolina boy wouldn't often get to see. Give our love to all.
